Lower Eyelid Surgery Without a Visible Scar

Transconjunctival lower eyelid surgery is a technique used to treat under-eye bags and puffiness without making a cut on the outside of the eyelid.

During the procedure, the surgeon makes a small incision inside the lower eyelid. Through this opening, the surgeon can reach the fat that causes the under-eye bags.

The excess fat can then be carefully removed or repositioned to create a smoother area under the eyes and a more natural transition between the lower eyelid and the cheek.

Because the incision is made inside the eyelid, there is no visible external scar.

What Happens During the Surgery?

1. Inner Eyelid Incision

The surgeon gently pulls down the lower eyelid and makes a small incision on its inner surface. This gives access to the fat pockets underneath the eye without cutting the outer skin.

2. Fat Removal or Repositioning

The surgeon then carefully removes or moves the fat, depending on what is needed. The aim is not to remove too much fat, but to reduce the bags while keeping the under-eye area looking natural and smooth.

3. Internal Healing

The incision is hidden inside the lower eyelid and usually heals without leaving a visible scar on the skin.

Who Is It Suitable For?

This technique is often suitable for people who have under-eye bags caused by excess or bulging fat, but do not have a large amount of loose skin.

If there is also significant loose skin under the eyes, the surgeon may recommend a different technique or an additional treatment.

The Result

The aim is to make the under-eye area look smoother, fresher and less tired, while keeping the natural shape and expression of the eyes.

Results and recovery can vary from person to person, so a consultation with the surgeon is important to decide which technique is most suitable for you.
